Prior to joining the university, Joanne had worked in Rice University in the US as a visiting researcher to conduct instrumental experiments. She has published more than 100 referee and conference papers in Textile and Material Science Journals. She had also worked in the intimate apparel Industry and therefore particular familiarizes material knowledge, quality requirements and production techniques used in the market.
